Registration
Our counseling services are intended for university graduates up to age 49 who are registered with the AMS, with the exception of those who studied medicine. To have your costs covered by AMS Vienna, you must have a valid registration with AMS Vienna and be enrolled with the Career Center Universität Wien.
To make the counseling session as efficient as possible, please upload the following documents in advance when booking your appointment:
- the letter of acceptance from the AMS
- a current resume
- as well as any questions and topics you would like to discuss during your career counseling session.
We use these documents solely to prepare for the session. You can view the privacy policy related to the receipt of these documents at any time. You can also view the counseling agreement, which takes effect when you book your appointment online.
We place great importance on clarifying your needs and the framework for counseling during an initial consultation. The decision as to whether coaching at the Career Center of the University of Vienna is the right approach ultimately rests with your advisor.
To have your costs covered by AMS Vienna, you need a valid registration with AMS Vienna as well as an additional registration with the Career Center at the University of Vienna.
What you need to do:
1) AMS Registration: Register in person at the AMS office responsible for your district as unemployed or a job seeker. Ask your AMS advisor for a “registration for TAS 835702” for the Career Center at the University of Vienna. You will then receive a letter of participation from the AMS, which you’ll need to schedule an appointment. You can find more information on this in our information sheet.
2) Scheduling an appointment at the Career Center: Register for an online or in-person appointment (appointments cannot be scheduled by phone). You will then receive a confirmation email.
This counseling service is not a job placement agency. It helps you prepare and find your way, but the job search and applications are your responsibility. The counseling service focuses on helping you enter the workforce and does not offer therapeutic support for personal or mental health issues.
